If there is one ailment that leaves the patient gasping for breath, it is bronchitis. In a bronchial condition there is inflammation or infection in the bronchial tubes between the nose and the lungs. The problem is chiefly attributed to viruses, bacteria or pollutants that spark irritation in the bronchial tubes. Persistent cough, Mild fever, Sore throat, Chest discomfort and Fatigue are the indications that the person is likely suffering from bronchitis. Bronchitis can be of two types- acute and chronic. Chronic bronchitis often causes chest discomfort, wheezing and coughing accompanied by mucus. Smoking tends to aggravate the problem. Try some simple home remedies that have proven to be beneficial to the patients. Take a cup of boiling water. Add half a teaspoon each of ground ginger, cloves and cinnamon powder to it. Mix them well. And drink this mixture for a few days to get relief. It is beneficial for people of all ages. Adults may have to continue this treatment a little longer, though. In case of acute bronchitis, take a glass of milk in a pan. Now take three garlic cloves, peel and chop them and boil them in this milk. And drink this mixture at night before going to bed. Tips to help you deal with bronchitis. Drinking celery juice or hot carrot juice can also help ease bronchitis. You can have a combination of carrot and spinach juice as well. And if there is wheezing or if your cough lasts for more than three weeks make sure you consult your doctor.
