Fluoxetine is a prescription medication used
to treat depression, obsessive compulsive disorder, bulimia, and panic disorder. Fluoxetine
belongs to a group of drugs called selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors, which change
the levels of certain chemicals in the brain to maintain mental stability. This medication
comes in capsule, tablet, and liquid forms. It is usually taken once or twice daily, with
or without food. Common side effects of fluoxetine include unusual dreams, sexual problems, and
loss of appetite. Fluoxetine hydrochloride can also cause dizziness or drowsiness. Do
not drive or operate heavy machinery until you know how fluoxetine hydrochloride affects
you. It’s important not to take Fluoxetine unless prescribed by a doctor. For RxWiki,
