Taking Charge of Your Health

I am back with some statistics that can worry
you and its solutions. Yes I am talking about infertility or say
fertility treatment. You know Global rates of infertility have
remained relatively stable between 1990 and 2010, according to a study that compiled data
from 277 national surveys in 190 countries. Research by the World Health Organisation
(WHO) estimated that in 2010, the rates have been sky rocketed to 48.5 million couples
worldwide, unable to have a child. The reason being the increasing content of
chemicals in our food and day today life. In general, infertility is defined as not
being able to get pregnant (conceive) after one year of unprotected sex. Many of you have clear idea about the process
of getting pregnant. To get pregnant –
A woman’s body must release an egg from one of her ovaries (ovulation). A man’s sperm must join with the egg along
the way (fertilize). The fertilized egg must go through a fallopian
tube toward the uterus (womb). The fertilized egg must attach to the inside
of the uterus (implantation). What is the solution? Well there are well advanced fertility treatment
centers across the country. However, is there any treatment that is sustainable
as well as without any side effect? Yes, the answer is Ayurveda, India’s traditional
treatment process. What makes you get a healthy crop? You need to have quality soil, quality seed,
good environment with adequate sunlight and the right amount of water and nourishment. The process is same in the case of humans
too. Health of baby depends on the health of its
parents. Ayurveda begins parents’ health to ensure
the health of baby. In the new era of living all these above factors
are afflicted. Ayurveda suggests the ultimate detox procedure
called PANCHAKARMA to restore these factors. Along with these there are many herbal medicines
and combinations to improve menstrual health and sperm count. There are many examples where success rates
of assisted reproduction techniques like IVF, Artificial insemination etc have increased. Being both overweight and underweight can impair a woman’s odds of getting pregnant. If you are underweight, your reproductive system will shut down because of the body’s inability to maintain a pregnancy. On the other hand, being overweight or obese reduces a woman’s chances of getting pregnant. Next time when you come to know someone with fertility issues, suggest them Ayurveda for good results.
