Taking Charge of Your Health


When
people talk about detoxification, they normally think about a process that takes place in
the intestinal tract. At least that’s what happens in the west. In the east however, especially in China,
they think about detoxification differently. Based on theories rooted in acupuncture that
teach that major nerve endings are present in our feet, Chinese medicine attempts to
solve numerous health issues beginning with the feet. This includes issues that medical practitioners
in the west treat starting with the gut. The practice of detoxification through the
feet is one example of how some people in the west are getting back their health based
on eastern medicine. This process involves herbs that produce secretions
of harmful toxins. Think of it as sweating out toxins through
your feet. Take a look at three natural ways to practice
detoxification the Chinese way: Salt Bath Ingredients 1/4 cup of Sea Salt (Himalayan Salt can be
used as a substitute); 1/4 cup of Epsom Salt;
1/4 cup of Baking Soda; 1/3 cup of Apple Cider Vinegar. Note: Essential oils can also be added, but
are completely optional. Instructions First, dissolve the first three ingredients
in boiling water. Set the pot aside to cool slightly and add
the Apple Cider Vinegar. Then pour the mixture into a basin large enough
to soak your feet in. Add the essential oils if you plan on using
them. Soak your feet in this bath for half an hour
or longer. Take necessary precautions when soaking your
feet in this mixture. Some people have a light-headed sensation
when they finish, so just in case, don’t perform this treatment when you’re home
alone. Clay Bath Ingredients 1/2 cup of bentonite clay;
1/2 cup of Epsom Salt. Note: Essential oils can also be added, but
are completely optional. Instructions Dissolve the Epsom salt in hot water and pour
in the essential oils if you plan on using them. Then, take the clay and make a paste with
it. To do this, mix it with a little bit of water. Next, stand in the tub of hot (or warm) water
that you prepared with Epsom salt while you rub the clay mixture over your body, creating
a mask. Allow this mask to dry for a few minutes before
you sit down in the tub. Soak in the tub for a minimum of twenty minutes
to allow the mask to pull the toxins from the skin. Finally, remove the clay mask with a washcloth. The clay in this bath works to pull any heavy
metals from your body, while the Epsom salt helps you repair your magnesium levels. Oxygen Bath Ingredients 2 or more cups of Hydrogen Peroxide;
1 Tablespoon of dried Ginger (in powder form). Instructions
Add the hydrogen peroxide and ginger to a tub of warm water. Soak in the tub for as long as you’d like. Thirty minutes is recommended. It’s also recommended that you try this
bath when you have a cold that involves congestion and/or general aches and pains. You’ll feel much better as the ginger will
help to clear the congestion and relieve the pain. As an added benefit, it could clear up minor
skin irritations.

  2. Also in the pictures it shows the water clear. Its not clear from the very beginning when you add the apple cider vinegar. The picture shows it clear from the beginning of soaking your feet.

They are also the bottom-most concentrated pool of blood in the whole body and a natural reservoir of toxins and used up end products of metabolic actions of all sorts. These facts direct us to the feet for ease of removal by the common sense idea that the body-area with the greatest concentration of what you want to modify is where to put your osmotic powered removal-pressure at. Re Epsom salts, be sure you have a good source or you could get ripped off by getting a lot of sodium chloride, table salt, mixed in with it… and that is not so good or gentle to your flesh.

  10. So we should bath our feet in bleach, no thank you. If any of these were successful there would be research showing an increased amount of these toxins in the water after the bath and western medicine would have adopted it as a successful practice.

  13. Don't forget that hard, dry and calloused skin can be rubbed off making the skin on the feet almost baby soft. One more thing put rubbing alcohol over the spots where white froth occurs. It kills fungus and bacteria not cleared up by the peroxide. It feels so good!

  16. Eat a clean and well formulated ketogenic diet that includes 7-10 cups of veggies a day and lose weight easily ( I lost 52lbs so far…. 19 more to go) and let the liver and kidneys do their job. As well as heal your lymphatic system. Potassium and magnesium are also very important to ingest. 🙂

  18. You absorb things through your skin so to sit my feet in this for a 1/2 an hour and I have hypertension is concerning. Have you done this on individuals with hypertension and if so did it raise their blood pressure? Also the coloring would appear to just be coming from the apple cider vinegar

  20. It needs to be mentioned that when you use essential oils you need to properly dilute them! Especially when you use them in a bath/foot soak. If you don’t mix them with a carrier oil you can and will get a nasty burning! The oil sits on top of the water, you then stick yourself or your feet into the water breaking the surface, the oil sits on top of the water and directly on your bare skin. This makes a lovely burning sensation that will last for HOURS! How do I know? I didn’t listen to my mother when she told me to use a carrier oil if I added essential oil to the bath water. It took forever for the burning to stop, I really don’t recommend it to anyone lol. So here’s your warning, diluting essential oil in a carrier oil before adding it to any sort of soak/bath is your friend.

  21. These things are a waste of time and money if you are ysing it to "detoxify" your body because unless your liver and kidneys aren't working right, your body naturally detoxifies itself.

  22. I don't agree with using seasalt asbeing useful in a method of detoxification for the body.
    Salt is a "preservative," and used in a "curator" manner, not to eliminate toxins and waste from inside the he body.
    I do agree however, that using baking soda and vinegar in water (both soaking in a bath, footbath, and ingestion of such ingredients) helps to relieve bloating and heartburn, relinquishes and subverts toxins and waste, from the bowels and gives skin a healthy, overall, well being, a clarity and eliminates impurities, from the inside out.

    Epson salt is chemical there is nothing natural about Epson salt.

  24. I know that medicine of many types can travel into the body through the feet to help clean up the body. Not sure if it can leave through the feet but would via the kidney, liver and peeded out. Any clean up of the body is helped by flushing out with water. Also toxins leave the body through your mouth, tongue and underarms. ever had a bad bug and your tongue became coated? toxins leaving the body.
