The Sunshine Village ski resort
is a short drive south west the Banff and boasts the best snow in Canada,
and that’s no exaggeration! The Treeline Highway through Banff National Park leads to
the resort which covers mount Standish, Lookout Mountain and Goat’s Eye Mountain. The ski area covers more than 3,000 acres and there are over
100 uncrowded ski trails serviced by nine chairlifts… with almost no waiting. The incredible high-speed gondola is a ride worth taking,
even if you don’t plan to ski but skiing is what Sunshine Village is all about.
There are many wide uncrowded slopes and steep tree-lined runs. The dry cold weather produces buckets of
powder snow and with almost thirty feet each season
there are slopes for everyone from beginner to expert. The friendly instructors at the kids’ campus
will make skiing fun for even the youngest skiers and boarders. The Sunshine Village Mountain Lodge offers luxury accommodation
right on the slopes. The well-appointed lodge has ski-in ski-out facilities
and there’s nothing better than warming up beside a fire or maybe
relaxing in the heated outdoor spa overlooking the slopes. There is a comprehensive hire shop on
the mountain as well as a day lodge and several bars and restaurants. With great snow, great facilities and spectacular scenery
only 15 minutes from Banff Sunshine Village is ‘the’ place to ski
in Alberta.

  1. Can't wait to ski Banff Sunshine. It's the mountain of the Big3 I am MOST looking forward to skiing & riding! MLK weekend 2020. Flying into Calgary Friday; skiing Lake Louise Saturday, Banff Sunshine Sunday, and Mt. Norquay on Monday (we have a holiday Monday in the US), then back to Calgary to fly home. I have been obsessed with skiing Banff's Big3 for YEARS and YEARS now. Big3 trifecta challenge accepted. CANNOT WAIT.
