Taking Charge of Your Health

Hi guys! Welcome to home remedies1976 ! My
name is Stan and today we will be talking about the best home remedies for
dandruff. The first home remedy we will be talking about today is the keto diet.
I want to mention this one because I have experience with the keto diet
myself. When I started following the keto diet my dandruff I had for over 25 years
disappeared in two weeks and never came back.
The ketogenic diet is a very low carb, high fat diet that involves drastically
reducing carbohydrate intake and replacing it with fat. This reduction in
carbs put your body into a metabolic state called ketosis. When this happens
your body becomes incredibly efficient at burning fat for energy. It also turns
fat into ketones in the liver which can supply energy for the brain. Ketogenic
diets can cause massive reduction in blood sugar and insulin levels. This
along with the increased ketones has numerous health benefits. The next one is
vinegar, vinegar helps in treating itchy dry skin and also helps to kill dandruff
causing fungus and bacteria. The acidic content of vinegar is very beneficial to
drastically reduce flaking. Apply an equal quantity mixture of white vinegar
with water on the scalp skin about half an hour before a head wash. The next one
is tea tree oil. Thanks to its a abundance of anti-inflammatory
antibacterial and antifungal properties tea tree oil is a perfect natural remedy
for a case of the itchy scalp. Tea tree oil is also rich in terpenes which can help
block bacteria and treat a wide variety of conditions from acne to skin fungus.
There are a few ways to take advantage of the power of tea tree oil. You can add
a few drops to your shampoo to create your own dandruff busting concoction, or
add several drops to a tablespoon of oil like olive oil, coconut oil, or almond oil
and massage it into the scalp a few times a week. Leave it in for about five
minutes before rinsing it out. The next one is “Neem”.
Most of us are aware of the role that Neem extract plays in almost all skin
medications because of its antibacterial and antifungal qualities. Since dandruff
can mostly be attributed to fungal colonization of the scalp it is only
right to turn to this age-old remedy for skin ailments. Natural is
always the best way to go, however be careful with this one and use a very
diluted version of Neem. For example neem boiled in water for
the scalp as concentrated versions may only irritate the skin further. The
next one is one of the most popular natural dandruff remedies, coconut oil.
Coconut oil can help reduce some of the yeast that contributes to the flaking.
Massage a small amount into your scalp and leave it there for at least 15 to 20
minutes. Some people even leave it on overnight
with a towel or shower cap, so it penetrates a little deeper. The last home
remedy for dandruff we will be talking about about today is “fenugreek”. The
antibacterial properties of fenugreek seeds coupled with its antifungal
properties help to get rid of the fungi that flake your scalp causing dandruff.
It also provides a cooling effect on your scalp. Fenugreek contains many
nutrients, it’s rich a source of protein, vitamin C, iron, potassium, nicotinic acid
and lecithin. What to do? Well you take some crushed soaked fenugreek seeds
and make it into a fine paste. The seeds should be soaked overnight in water
and then apply the paste to your scalp for 30 minutes and wash it off. Okay guys
